Supporting an Inclusive and Enjoyable Photo Day for Everyone
Beginning in 2026, all schools will see an optional Sunflower Session added to their photo day running order. These sessions will typically take place in the morning before the first photo, providing a calm and unhurried start to the day.

What are Sunflower Sessions?
Sunflower Sessions are dedicated portrait times designed for students or staff who may benefit from additional support.

This may include needing:
- A quieter, low-sensory environment
- Extra time to settle or feel comfortable
- Adjustments to communication or instructions
- Any other personalised accommodations that help make the experience positive
Individuals who would benefit from this support can attend during this allocated session, ensuring their portrait is captured in an environment tailored to their needs.
Why this matters
Our goal is to ensure every member of your school community feels included, respected, and supported on photo day. By introducing Sunflower Sessions, we aim to:
- Reduce stress and anxiety for those who need a gentler approach
- Support teachers and school staff by providing a structured, predictable option
- Capture authentic and comfortable portraits for every student
- Demonstrate our commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and sensitivity
These sessions give schools peace of mind that no one is rushed, overwhelmed, or overlooked, and that our team is prepared to adjust our approach to meet individual needs.
Sunflower Sessions help create a calmer, kinder, and more inclusive photo day experience for everyone.
