SchoolPix will generate a running order based on our expertise and experience to ensure a smooth and efficient photography day. We have a deep understanding of the time required for each group, portrait photos, sibling photos, and more. Photography is our specialty, and we handle it daily, so you can trust that we know what we’re doing!
Planning for your photo day is important
We’ll email you a link to an editable Google Form two weeks before photography day—this is your running order. It will confirm:
- Team arrival time
- First group’s photo time
- Group and portrait locations
- Time allocated for each group
- Sibling photo plan
You can adjust the form to suit your needs, print a copy for your records, and click Submit when ready.
NB: You do not require a Google account to access the Google Form.
If you need to edit your running order, please consider the following key points:
- Always begin with Prep or Year 7 groups and progress through the older groups.
- We schedule the first class group photo for approximately 10 minutes after the bell to allow for any late arrivals.
- Make sure your Principal is in attendance.
- Ensure there are no conflicting specialist appointments, incursions, excursions, camps, or swimming carnivals, as they will impact the photography day.
- Inform all staff members that they must have an individual portrait photo taken for school records.
- Decide on and communicate your uniform requirements for the class and individual photos.
- If you require a graduation photo, it must be included in the running order.
- If you wish to have a whole school group photo taken on photography day, please include it in your running order and make prior arrangements with your Account Manager.
Room Size Requirements
When planning on where photography should take place, please consider the following:
- Allocate rooms suitable for individual photography and groups if indoor photography is required or in the case of inclement weather (hall, gym, etc).
- Please ensure that the rooms have sufficient space for classes to wait nearby, minimising distractions for the students being photographed and the rest of the school.
- Avoid rooms that could create bottlenecks that could disrupt the photo sessions and overall school environment.
The rooms need to be an adequate size to accommodate our equipment and still allow space for our staff and students to move around the room.

Running Order Time Requirements
Please allow enough time for photography for each class based on size. The table below outlines the amount of time required for each group.
